12-14 June 2026 - Paternostro Estate (VT)
PRELUDE
a regenerative retreat by Samichay
Three dense days. Eleven practices. A small group, among the oaks of Tuscia.
Poster
Three days to go deep. A compact, carefully constructed journey through breath, movement and voice with time and space to truly experience each session.
We have selected some of the most transformative practices in our universe - many of which have never passed the stage at the September festival - and constructed a dense itinerary that puts them in sequence. Holotropic breathing, trance dance, voice, qi gong, bioenergetics: eleven sessions in three days, led by those who have been living these practices for years.
It is not a relaxation retreat. It is active regeneration: physical work, guided step by step, that leaves something moving inside for weeks. The shade of the ancient oaks, the open fields, the big Bedouin tent for the evenings.
Three moments, one path
Each day has its own breath. It starts with the body, moves on to listening, and closes with energy.

Returning to breath
The first day serves to unload the journey, the cities, the noise. One roots oneself with the body, reopens the diaphragm. It is the time to let it all out and start again from the simplest gesture: inhale, exhale, stay.
Making room for listening
When the body is most silent, the voice of others and one's own comes in. One sings, one tells, one stays. You don't need the right words: all you need is the willingness to receive.
Rekindling the spark
The last day is the most physical. You dance until you don't think, you tremble, you go home with something that keeps moving inside for weeks.
Who holds the circle
We chose them because with each of them the festival really worked - not because of their CVs, but because of how they stay in their bodies afterwards.

Before booking
How do the three days unfold?
You arrive on Friday afternoon and immediately start with the body, to unload the journey. Saturday is the full day: breathing, movement, voice, a talk on herbs, bioenergetic practices. On Sunday morning there is dancing, a closing circle and after lunch we go home.
Do you need experience in practice?
No, in fact it is better if it is the first time. All practices, from holotropic breathing to qi gong, are guided step by step by the person conducting them. You don't need experience, flexibility or previous knowledge: you can always listen, observe, return. The only requirement is curiosity.
What is included in the price?
Two nights and three days' accommodation, all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner, vegetarian cuisine with fresh, wholesome ingredients), all programme practices and workshops, a 30% discount on the September Samichay festival ticket and access to the common areas of the estate. Travel to and from the festival and extra drinks outside meals are not included.
How do you reach the estate?
The Paternostro Estate is in Vetralla (Viterbo), about an hour's drive from Rome. By train: Vetralla station on the Rome-Capranica line, then about ten minutes by taxi.
Dietary needs and allergies?
The cuisine is vegetarian, organic and zero-kilometre. For vegan requirements, gluten or lactose intolerances and specific allergies, simply indicate this when booking: the kitchen will construct a dedicated menu at no extra charge.
What if I can no longer come?
There is no refund, but the seat is transferable and you can give it to someoneə in your network at any time.
Why this price?
Eleven sessions in three days with these conductors, in a small group, is a format that does not exist at the festival. In September many of our teachers meet on stage; at Prelude we work with them directly, in a circle. The price covers ten conductors' time, two nights and three days' accommodation, all meals with ingredients from the estate, and the 30% discount on the festival ticket.
