From the afternoon, music and slam poetry.<br \/><strong>Sunday 26 May: <\/strong>group lunch, games, lots of music until the evening, slackline, and a few surprises \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cosearundo\"><strong>\u2736 What is Arundo<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>From <strong>24 to 26 May<\/strong>, will be a course on DIY techniques based on bamboo and Mediterranean reed, offered in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/margheritabertoli.art\/\">Arundo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Arundo is a collective that deals with <strong>participatory artistic bioconstruction<\/strong>, with the aim of proposing artistic and social activities based on permaculture principles, creating ecologically sustainable works of art and coordinating courses in self-construction.<br \/>It will be a unique opportunity to learn the method <a href=\"https:\/\/canyaviva.org\/en\/home\/\">Canyaviva<\/a>, based on the sustainable use of Mediterranean cane (<em>Arundo donax L.<\/em>) and bamboo (<em>Bambusoideae<\/em>). Their abundance and renewability and their properties offer the possibility of using them as building materials, with an expressive freedom that allows for organic and innovative forms.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 25px;\"><strong>Arundo's is: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udf3f<strong> Ecological art<\/strong>, which is born and grows with complete respect for nature, observing its cycles and proposing a sustainable solution to the invasiveness of plants considered to be pests.<br \/><strong>\ud83c\udf3f Process art<\/strong>, in which each stage in the realisation of the works is emphasised, from the collection of the material to the final finishing details.<br \/>\ud83c\udf3f<strong> Collective art<\/strong>, as a place for social gathering and sharing.<br \/><strong>\ud83c\udf3f Formative art<\/strong>, as the realisation of works often takes place through an active apprenticeship process in which self-construction is promoted.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"info\">\u2736 Course Information<\/h2>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>The course, of <strong>duration of 20 hours<\/strong>, is organised in a theoretical and a practical part that allows you to learn the basics of building with Mediterranean cane &amp; bamboo according to the CanyaViva method.<br \/>A certificate of participation will be issued.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>We will realise a work of land art together <\/strong>consisting of structural arches made of whole reeds and ribs in<br \/>bamboo splits, deepening the technical knowledge to build gazebos, pergolas as well,<br \/>arcades, greenhouses and artistic chicken coops!<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2735 Theoretical programme<\/strong>:<br \/>Biological characteristics of Mediterranean cane and bamboo; uses of cane<br \/>in vernacular architecture; history, developments and technical aspects of the method <em>CanyaViva<\/em>; foundations and<br \/>roofing; design elements; completed projects.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2735 Practical programme<\/strong>:<br \/>Material preparation techniques: collection, cleaning, classification, systems of<br \/>ligation; fabrication of structural elements according to the method <em>CanyaViva<\/em>; deepening the<br \/>construction of modules \/ columns \/ arches \/ ribs; connection, bending and assembly of arches<br \/>structural and ribs.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2735 Timetable:<br \/>Friday<\/strong> 24 May | 11:00 \u2192 17:00<br \/><strong>Saturday<\/strong> 25 &amp; <strong>Sunday<\/strong> 26 May | 9 a.m. \u2192 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2735 Contact:<br \/><\/strong>arundo.art@gmail.com<br \/>hello@samichay.eu<\/p>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2736 Prices<\/h2>\n<p>\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udf38 <strong>The course costs \u20ac250 for the three-day event, and includes meals until Sunday lunch.<\/strong><br \/>\ud83c\udf38 <strong>If you have already participated in an Arundo<\/strong> and you want to learn more about the technique, the cost is <strong>\u20ac150<\/strong> for the three-day event, and includes meals until Sunday lunch.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udf38 You can bring your own tent or rent a Glamping tent, which you will find already set up on site.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf38 On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26, there will be a meeting with music, art installations, slam poetry, and many nice things.
